How do we select places?
- Places with a Google rating of 4.0 or higher and a substantial number of reviews.
- We prioritize long-established local favorites, notable warungs (local eateries) serving dishes such as babi guling, nasi campur, and satay, restaurants recognized by the MICHELIN Guide (including Bib Gourmand selections), and places featured by local and international travel publications.
- We list only places with signs of having been open within the past year, such as recent visitor reviews or official posts.
- For nightlife, we select places where you can enjoy music, drinks, and the atmosphere.
What do “Verified” and “Visited by the editor” mean?
“Verified” means the operator has confirmed through Google Maps and recent visit records that the place is still open.
“👣 Visited by the editor” means the operator has been there in person. However, we do not list a place if recent reviews have turned negative, even if the operator has visited it. The food and service may have changed since that visit.
